Archaeological Environmental Centre

Set up in a large Austrian building of the early nineteenth century, the Civic Museum Archaeological Environmental Centre of Legnago exhibits archaeological relics dating back to the period between 5000 and 50 B.C.: they help you learn about the cultural and economical evolution of the low Pianura Veronese. From clay pots to huts, from reproductions of graves for warriors and women to funerary sets, from urns and bronze belts to Celtic tombs, the considered time span is very wide, yet the neatness of the exhibition and the beauty of the relics make it easy to understand the collection. The Archaeological Environmental Centre also aims to defend and improve the environment of the river Adige and other minor local waterways, in addition to the archaeological system of the Valli Grandi Veronesi.
